finally joining

.
I am seeing white. Lots & lots (...........did I say 'lots'?) of white. . All of these white hexies are being hand sewn....
.
.
...and finally being joined to the colorful grandmother's flower garden blocks.
.
.
I loooooooooove the way these blocks come to life. Half of the fun of this quilt is matching the fabrics. The other half is the quietness of piecing these hexies together.
.
Now. Let's see. How many more to go before this is a queen-sized quilt?

I LOVE your hexie quilt! I'm working on a hexie quilt too. It's great mindless handpiecing while watching TV. Can't wait to see yours as it progresses. Hexie hugs! :o)

Just saw these over on the GHQA blog. I am just amazed that you are finally joining. Right now I am working on my 10th flower and still find it very soothing like you. I am so glad that you helped to get me inspired to actually make these blocks. I love it. Just one question. Do you find that sometimes you can see your thread on the front side of the block?

I love this. I would not have patience for this project though...you are blessed with patience that I am not. :) We all know our own limits. How many hexagons are in a queen? Just curious. I hope you have nice weather this weekend. It is a bit nippy here.

I am amazed at your patience and the neatness of your work. I would love it if you would do a little tutorial on this! It's going to be a beautiful heirloom. Twyla
